Compared to the Mustang, the Mach-E is faster.

When a car hits the end of its lifespan, sales often decline because customers are either waiting for the new model to come out or the 

platform itself is no longer relevant. Mustang sales have dropped significantly over the last three years

 but 2023 will mark the ninth year of production for the platform.

As the first completely redesigned Mustang to hit the market in nine years, sales might surge when the seventh generation comes in 2024. With the Challenger and, maybe, the Camaro no longer on the market, 

will the Mustang be able to outsell its EV sibling? Of course not, but it also shouldn't come as a shock or a disappointment.
